To the drift practitioners

Hey guys, I was just wondering how you all find the drift-ability of the certain cars.

I was almost positive that it couldn't be done - I was power sliding perfectly through bends and around corners but no full sustainable drift.

Then I picked up the RUF GT (the A1 of the RUF's)
and it is pretty smooth at drifting, takes a bit of practice but In 3rd gear its very nice,
I managed to keep a full circle going for a few loops and then switch to second and keep it going a bit longer.

been practicing switching from one direction to another and its best done in 2nd gear I think-
Its just when you are about to level off to switch direction the car will grip so I increase throttle from about half to full and the car just slides through the straight and starts sliding the opposite way just like I want.

Has anyone else had any positive drifting experience or practiced it much?

hmm i think the other best Drifter is the Impreza but I never tried to a 360 in it yet Ive managed a 180 though. So the RUF can do a 360 nice i'll keep that car in mind for my next purchase

I really like that Porsche, especially tuned to level 4, but i haven't tried to drift it.

The Merc CLK AMG 63 (A3 class) is a really good one though, powersliding through corners especially, turn it to hardcore mode though and it's quite manageable.

How far have you been able to drift?

had a look there, i am not sure of exact distance but from start to finish of drift I'm able to fill 2 frim bars, so.. 200 up to 350 and then I can bank - all in one drift.
If i spend a good while practicing I can get it to about 2 and half but thats me maxed - that would be roughly one n quarter circles around a small single section of the track outside ibiza's driving school.

and ... as much as I like the RUF ... i'd much prefer to be drifting in something not as ... "porshey"
